Hope Worship – March 14, 2021

Today, we continue our Lenten journey of returning to the Lord by considering the account of Jesus on trial before the chief priest in Matthew 26. May God bless us to take seriously the power of our words as He invites us to “Return from False Witness.”

May God bless us as we consider two accounts of betrayal from the Bible. Is there hope for traitors? Is God able to forgive our treachery and redeem it for His good purposes? Because of Jesus, the answer is, “Yes!”

Today we consider a true mountaintop experience for Jesus and some of His closest disciples, as Peter, James, and John see Jesus shining with divine glory. This extraordinary event is meant to strengthen their faith (and ours) as we follow Jesus down the mountain and on the journey to the cross.

Have you ever asked, “God, are you there? God, do you care?” If you have, you’re certainly not alone. Today, we hear from God’s Word and take comfort that we have a King who truly does care.
