What a blessing it is to be a child of God! In Romans 8, Paul says that we have been given the Spirit of adoption – that is, the Spirit has made us alive in Christ and brought us into God’s family, so that we might call Him “Father.” Four Greek verbs in this passage highlight the beauty of life in God’s family: the Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children… God has made us heirs with Christ… We are given the privilege of suffering with Christ… and ultimately, we know that we will be glorified with Christ. Today’s message is “Adopted!” based on Romans 8:12-17.
