“There’s not enough.” At some point, most of us have come to the limit of our resources. We have things we’d like to do and places we’d like to go, but there’s not enough money or enough time. We’d like to accomplish more, but there’s not enough energy. In our Gospel reading, the disciples come to the limits of their own resources when Jesus tells them to feed a crowd of thousands. But where their resources run out, Jesus demonstrates that He is more than enough, providing a meal for the crowd with leftovers to spare. Where are we being called to trust in the abundant generosity of Jesus when it seems our own resources are running dry? Today’s message is “In Jesus, There’s More than Enough,” based on Matthew 14:13-21.
