In Roman 7, Paul describes the war that is the Christian life: the inner being has been brought to new life in Christ, and yet the sinful nature wages war, not wanting to submit to God’s good design. It’s exhausting to agree with God’s Law and yet not be able to carry it out as we should! So where does rest for weary people come from? It doesn’t come from giving up the war and giving in the sinful nature. It comes from Jesus, who gives us the victory and promises rest. Today’s message is ““Struggling? There’s Rest for You,” based on Romans 7:14-25a.
